Limnary presses are organs possessed by organisms which are capable of producing artificial stars. They are part of the limnary system of the body. In organisms which possess them, limn which would normally make its way into excrement is recycled and used to produce stars so that spells may be used. Only a select few organisms, most notably sophonts, but also organisms like limn rollers, are capable of producing artificial stars without the use of a limnary press.
