A deity is a speculative being who exerts some level of authority over the Nature, especially over matters regarding life, death, and the afterlife. Cultural beliefs vary regarding the number and function of deities but they are most often believed to oversee an afterlife if one is speculated. Besides the afterlife they are also often associated with the creation of Reality or other higher levels of the universe. Deities are first recorded in stars following the creation of humans in 56 BT.
