The Quickening is one of the most influential events in history. Having occurred over the span of 58 days—less than a single season—it saw the creation of every known and unknown God, and was the root cause of the First Death and God-War. The Quickening is documented in the Quickening Star System, composed of 430 stars published by various Gods documenting their own domain subdivisions.
Prelude & Aftermath
Prior to the Quickening, on the 12th of Winter 178 BT, documented in the First Epoch Star, the Gods of What Is and Is Not underwent the first instance of domain subdivision, creating the Gods of Matter, Energy, Time, and Space. 46 days after their creation, documented in the First Lessers Star, having used the First Epoch Star as reference, The God of Matter would undergo their own subdivision to create the Elemental Gods. This action would inspire the God of Energy to undergo their own subdivision, documented in the Energy Division Star, creating the Energy Gods. This subdivision process would quickly cascade down the God’s lineage, resulting in the creation of an estimated fifteen billion Gods.
The gargantuan number of Gods would peak on the 26th of Spring 177 BT, where the rising tensions between Gods would culminate in the First Death. Death’s Star, published by the God of What Is Not, attempted to document the confrontation, which occurred between two unnamed lesser-Gods. In the following days, as Gods became increasingly aware of their mortality, Death’s Star would receive an influx of stars, creating Death’s Star System.
